| The
designs refer to 'Flock' and 'Flex'. What do these
mean? |
Flex compared to Flock:
Both techniques have the same high standards in regard to
quality, that is, maximum durability and no colour fading.
Only difference is the look and feel of the material. While
Flex is very smooth, Flock is a little bit fluffy.
Details of print Technique:
A large computerized blade is used to cut designs out of a
smooth, thin material. This design is then pressed onto the
fabric, using high pressure and temperatures. This print type
is suitable for almost all fabric types and looks and feels
amazing.

our page about quality.

| Why
do the prices for certain combinations of shirt and designs vary? |
|
With regards to the designs, the use of multiple
colours adds to the production costs. Where possible we try
to minimize this cost at design time, but when we feel a design
merits that little more workmanship we will reflect this in
the cost.
With regards to the shirts, there are varying styles of shirt that cost
more to manufacture. Once again, this gets reflected in the price.
|

to tick the 'I accept the Terms and Conditions of Spreadshirt' check box
near the bottom of the page. If you don't you will be returned to your

| The product I want is 'Temporarily Unavailable'. The
size I want isn't listed. Why? |
From time to time some styles may be temporarily out of
stock. We will let you know by listing it as 'Temporarily
Unavailable' if it affects the entire style. If only one
size is affected, that size option will not be available
in the size drop-down menu when placing your order.
If a size or item you want is unavailable, contact
us and we will let you know when it is back in stock.
|
| When
I place my order I see a reference to Spreadshirt. Why? |
|
True North Gear has a partnership with 'Spreadshirt.'
They handle the merchandising on our behalf, from ordering
through to distribution. This enables us to concentrate on
the designs and product selection.
|
| If you are Canadian, why are your products manufactured
in the States? |
|
True North Gear operates out of Winnipeg,
Manitoba. However, in order to offer the "customization"
of our products and the variety of designs, it was necessary
for us to partner with a company that would handle the order
process, manufacturing and distribution of our products. After
much research and testing, we determined that 'Spreadshirt'
offered the highest quality of product available and their
shipping rates were very competitive. 'Spreadshirt' has a
an office in Montreal, Quebec, but all production is handled
at their facility in Greensburg, PA. At this time, there are
no Canadian companies that offer a service such as this.
|
| Why are some shirts labelled 'Made in the USA'? |
The shirts labelled 'Made in the USA' are
American
Apparel brand and have been made in the USA as opposed
to being made in China, Mexico or any other foreign country
that is often used to make garments.
